The conference was organized by ICRAF World Agroforestry Center and Kunming Institute of Botany to review the most successful practices for successful and effective solutions.
The conference agenda included climate change assessment, dynamic resilience, engaging marginalized communities and water management.

The main focus was to discuss ideas and innovations for the planet's most vulnerable mountain ecosystems, as we live in an era of anthropogenic impacts and humans are the dominant force of change at the global level.

In their presentation, which took place on the first day of the conference, the delegation from our region - Central Asia, presented and talked about their unique experience of transition from central management system to community management practices.

Akmatova K. made a presentation on "Collaborative forest management, revitalization and integration of Kyrgyz traditional knowledge and practices for ecosystem sustainability and improvement of living conditions of mountain communities".

Together with other participants, the delegation of our region considered in detail the issues of climate change assessment, dynamic sustainability, involvement of marginalized communities and water resources management. Also, an exhibition of mining products was held as part of the conference.
The conference participants were researchers, scientists, experts and representatives of mountain communities from different parts of the world. Together, they shared ideas and innovative proposals that can contribute to positive changes in mountain regions and, in their opinion, save the environment worldwide.
