Information meetings with pilot farming communities and representatives of educational institutions in Batken, Jalalabad and Osh regions were held within the framework of the project "Go Green - Support to Local Communities in Developing Green Agriculture" from February 7 to 15, 2023.
The aforementioned project is being carried out in collaboration with KMOP by the Public Fund "Rural Development Fund" with financial support from the European Union (Greece).
During the information meetings, project specialists presented their findings. They also demonstrated the mobile application "Birlik," which was developed specifically for farmers and is a resource with farmer information, a library, a forum, and a marketplace for the sale of agricultural products. Community leaders discussed their accomplishments and the challenges they faced as they grew.
The project team met with representatives of Vocational School #67 in Gulcho village, Alay District, Osh Province, where a new "Growing Medicinal Crops" training module developed with project support was successfully tested. This lyceum has a cabinet of medicinal plants as well as cultivation demonstration plots.
