On 9 April, 2013, The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Meliorationof the Kyrgyz Republic will conduct a round table discussion on “Problems and solutions of beekeeping and improvement of its legislation”.
The discussion will be initiated by the National Beekeepers Society with the support of the Rural Development Fund.
Here is the list of all the issues to be discussed:
- Beekeepers’ acess to pastures,
- Problems of relationships between beekeepers and various institutions,
- Veterinary requirements for beekeeping,
- Issues with the export of honey and beekeeping products.
We will aim to provide revisions to the recommendations on improving the regulations on beekeeping.
We also have a lack of training and educational carricula on beeking. Therefore, Rural Development Fund is planning a series of beekeeping training sessions in the pilot communities in the project on “Equal Access Of Beekeepers To Pasture Resources In The Kyrgyz Republic”.
