On July 17, 2025, RDF Research Expert Altynai Achilova participated as a speaker in the HLPF 2025 Webinar — Side Event-Societies in harmony with nature: building sustainable and resilient communities through the implementation of the Satoyama Initiative and COMDEKS.
The main objective of the webinar was to discuss the role of the COMDEKS Program in achieving the SDGs and key targets within the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. RDF presented the results of the Comprehensive Assessment and Baseline Study conducted as part of the preparation of the COMDEKS Country Seascape and Landscape Strategy for the Issyk-Kul Region. The participants of the panel session discussed issues the process of the development of the Country Seascape and Landscape Strategy and the use of resilience indicators for social-ecological productive landscapes, updated in 2024, challenges and ongoing activities aimed at addressing the biodiversity conservation problems and connection with current national initiatives for biodiversity conservation, as well as the contribution to achieving the CBD 30 goals.
