Farmers will be able to sell agricultural products through a mobile app

The mobile application "Birlik" was developed by the Public Foundation Rural Development Fund in the framework of the project "Support to Green Agriculture by Local Communities - Go Green
With the support of the European Union, RDF is implementing this project in collaboration with the Civil Initiative Fund (KMOP, Greece).
Through the project, RDF helped 16 farming communities across the country grow and process medicinal plants. The farmers took the initiative and united to form the Birlik Association for the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants. The Association now has more than 20 cooperatives and public organizations in Kyrgyzstan, as well as business organizations that grow and process medicinal plants. The mobile app, in turn, was created as one of the tools to sell finished products.

The Birlik app, which is a marketplace, has, among other sections, El Bazaars (a marketplace), On the Map (the geolocation of communities on the map), and Communities (information about farming communities). In the "Forum" section, farmers can share their experiences, and ask questions about growing and processing medicinal crops. Also in the app, you can find out more about the Go Green project and read news and useful information. It supports English, Russian, and Kyrgyz languages.
