In April 2025, RDF experts prepared the COMDEKS Country Landscape-Seascape Strategy for the Issyk-Kul Basin. This strategy facilitates the implementation of the UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme within the framework of COMDEKS Phase 4. In May 2025, a call for proposals was announced for public organisations and local communities to implement activities aimed at strengthening the resilience of local landscapes and ecosystems.
COMDEKS Country Landscape-Seascape Strategy received a positive review from the UNDP GEF and facilitates the development of comprehensive measures to ensure the resilience of the socio-economic productive landscape of the Issyk-Kul Basin, preserve biodiversity, introduce sustainable agricultural practices, both innovative and based on traditional knowledge, improve the well-being of local communities, and jointly manage the landscape sustainably.
