The final conference of the Go Green Project

On May 23, the final conference of the GoGreen Project took place at the RDF Park Hotel.

The event was attended by representatives of the European Union, namely Peteris Ustubs, Director for Central Asia and the Pacific at the EU, Titien Amati, Geocoordinator for Kyrgyzstan, Hans Farnhammer, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation, and Aiyim Bapanova, Project Manager at the EU Delegation.

In addition, heads of ministries and agencies, NGOs, farmer cooperatives, representatives of international organizations, civil society, business structures, local self-government bodies, scientists, ecologists, experts, and others were present. The Project Coordinator, David Rama, representing KMOP, also flew in from Greece. Positions were voiced by the Ministries of Agriculture and Education and Science within the framework of the concept of green agriculture and the preservation of the country's bio-cultural heritage. It was also gratifying to hear from members of women's cooperatives about how to motivate rural communities, especially those located in mountainous areas, to participate in climate change mitigation.

Ecologists called for the strengthening of climate-resilient methods in agriculture, particularly in crop production, which would help reduce agriculture losses due to climate change.

The speakers were supported by the Special Envoy of the President, Nurlan Aitmurzaev, and the coordinator of Small Projects at the GEF UNDP, Nurlan Sharshenkulov.
