On February 11, 2025, the meeting of the National Coordinating Council of the UNDP Small Grants Program (SGP) for the project “Community Development and Knowledge Management for Satoyama Initiative” (COMDEKS) took place at the RDF office. The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize the members of the Steering Committee with the COMDEKS project, which was being implemented by RDF.
During the meeting, the goals and objectives of the project were reviewed, along with the preliminary results of the ongoing Situational Assessment. Representatives from the UNDP SGP, RDF specialists, Steering Committee members, and experts discussed the condition of landscapes and ecosystems in the pilot area. They emphasized the need for activities focused on strengthening the sustainability of these landscapes and ecosystems, highlighting the importance of active participation from local communities and close collaboration among all stakeholders. The group also explored potential areas of work for the implementation of the SGP.
