RDF participated in the Regional Earth Forum in India, Gujarat from October 7-10, 2014. Today in Kyrgyzstan RDF is the only organization that is part of the International Land Coalition (ILC). The forum brought together representatives of Asian countries from Nepal, Philippines, Indonesia, India, Cambodia, Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. Representatives from the ILC Secretariat in Rome, Italy also participated in the event.
RDF spoke about the activities of the organization, projects and research conducted in the field of access to land resources, issues on conflicts over natural resources, micro-grant part of the projects, activities aimed at improving and enhancing the welfare of people in rural areas were discussed. Information was also presented from Jasil (Mongolia) and RDF (Kyrgyzstan) on joint project on regional exchange on co-management of rangelands and eco-systems management in rural areas.
