RDF together with members of the Green Alliance of Kyrgyzstan participated in the Central Asia Civil Society Climate Network strategic meeting to discuss plans and activities, which took place from August 8 to 9, 2023 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, overviews of national climate policies and public participation were presented by the Central Asian coordinators Кыргызстан🇰🇬, Узбекистан🇺🇿, Таджикистан🇹🇯 and Казахстан🇰🇿.
A strategic plan of the network's work until 2025 was developed and preparation of the position of the civil society of the Central Asian region for the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was started.
The directions of the Climate Network were discussed as:
1. governance tools in the network
2. Development of expert community
3. Youth and education
4. PR strategy
5. Cooperation with business sector
CSGO CA is established on February 22, 2023 as an independent regional association of networked environmental and climate organizations based on the RSOGO (Regional Network of Civil Society Organizations) established in 2019 at the initiative of the Regional Environmental Center of Central Asia (REC CA).
