International Academic Conference "Nomadic Ethics and Intercultural Dialogue"
RDF participated in the UNESCO International Conference - "Nomadic Ethics and Intercultural Understanding" from June 22-23, 2023 in Ulaanbaatar, the cultural and business center of Mongolia. The conference, organized by UNESCO, provided unique opportunities to discuss and develop strategies to preserve cultural diversity, promote intercultural understanding and strengthen ties between nomadic communities. Participants enriched our understanding and took into account many aspects of nomadic ethics through mutual exchange of ideas and examples of practices.
The conference was focused on traditional values of nomadic peoples, principles of nomadic ethics and the role of traditional culture in achieving sustainable development goals. The event brought together participants from all over the world, scholars, nomadic people's representatives, who shared knowledge, experience and ideas on preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of nomadic peoples.
The conference also provided participants with an opportunity to learn about the rich cultural heritage of Mongolia. This country is famous for its unique traditions, way of life and beautiful landscapes. The participants visited exhibitions presenting the traditional arts of nomadic peoples and also plunged into the world of traditional music and songs. RDF has presented its presentation for the Session "Towards a new global ethics: the contribution of nomadic civilizations. Perspectives of Indigenous Elders".
RDF was happy to be part of this wonderful event and to share its ideas and experiences with colleagues, and scholars from different countries. The UNESCO conference "Nomadic Ethics and Intercultural Understanding" was a platform where RDF worked together to create a better future for nomadic peoples and preserve their cultural heritage.
