By actively participating in various events, the Pastoral Network "Kyrgyz el akyl kazyna" gradually earns fame. Thus, members of the Network together with a representative of RDF were invited to the II Issyk-Kul Youth Forum of intellectuals dedicated to the memory of Ch.T. Aitmatov "Youth of the CIS - diversity of cultures, tolerance, consent" as connoisseurs of Kyrgyz traditional cuisine. The forum, held in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, from August 8 to 11, 2011, was aimed at sharing experiences between representatives of different nationalities, as well as preserving historical and cultural heritage throughout the CIS.
The delegates of the Network demonstrated more than 15 traditional dishes and made an unusual coffee break in the Kyrgyz national style. Along with traditional boorsoks and kurut, guests were able to taste such dishes as olobo, tash kordo, ezhigei, kattama, kalama, zhentek, badirak, ulpuldok (Kyrgyz sweet bread), ordok, kalmende and clarified butter in trebukh. And, of course, national drinks such as bozo, kymys, maksym and ayran made an extraordinary impression on all Forum participants.
The guests were pleasantly impressed by the variety and taste of national dishes. It was a good opportunity to share Kyrgyz culture, its traditions and peculiarities with other nations.
