Project: "Improve the Management of the Chychkan Gorge in Kyrgyzstan
THE GOAL OF THE PROJECT "IMPROVE THE MANAGEMENT OF THE CHYCHKAN GORGE IN KYRGYZSTAN".
The project aims to encourage the local population to participate in decision-making processes and development policy aspects. The project is implemented in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region.
About project
This project will be based on the introduction and adoption of a bottom-up inclusion and management approach, as well as an integrated approach aimed at strengthening the role of local communities in local ecosystem management. Communities play an important role in development initiatives by sharing their vision, experience, practices, and goals for natural resource conservation and protection with themselves and decision-making institutions. The program's goal is to encourage local participation in all aspects of development policy.
The project consists of 4 components:
Component 1: Data collection and stakeholder analysis
Component 2: Multidimensional platform and area management plans
Component 3: Pilot projects
Component 4: Awareness raising and knowledge dissemination
